Answers to Prayer-Aug/Sept/Oct

We have these prayer requests answered in the month of Aug/Sept

5) We have made some progress with the requirements for the adoption and should be able to refile our application with Carolina Adoption Agency in October
4) Our work permit has been APPROVED
3) We have seen 4 new people come to know Jesus.
2) God has healed us from the virus we battled for 5 straight weeks.
1) We have joined together with a church here in Kenya that sponsored us to apply for a work permit.

Work Permit-ANSWERED-APPROVED

We have joined together with a church here in Kenya called Evangelical Victory Church. They have given us a letter of introduction for a work permit from the Kenya Government. We turned in our application for this work permit on August 1, 2008. We were given a 3 month pass in our passports in order for us to be able to stay in the country while the application is being processed. Those passes will expire October 31, 2008. Please pray that our work permit will be approved before that date.

New Believers-Aug/Sept

Language Study

We need to resume our Borana Language Study. We have been wanting to do this since the first of August and have met with several challenges to keep us from being able to do so. Please pray that all obstacles will be removed and that we will be able to resume study soon. Also pray that we will be able to reach fluency in Borana quickly and that we will be able to learn the stories from the Bible in Borana so that we can go out with the nomadic Borana and plant churches.

Support

We need to have a support base in order to meet the basic needs of our family and also to finance the work we will be doing among the Borana. We are unable at this time to return to the USA to raise our support. We are therefore, dependent on raising money through computer technology. Pray that God will help us to make wise decisions in how to raise our support and that He will provide for our family and our ministry through that support. Adoption

We are currently in the process of trying to adopt a Kenyan boy named Ross. Ross has been living with us for 2 years and in our hearts he has been our son for a long time. Please pray that the obstacles that we are facing with completing the adoption will be moved and that Ross will soon be legally our son.
